The interface can be accessed via the isHRT

CommDTM from ifak system. The DTM integrates

the H@rt BluePack into every FDT-frame application.

The DTM takes advantage of the active

master stack. It uses a proprietary API-DLL which

is supplied with the interface driver software package.

To support already existing applications

that rely on RS232 modems a virtual COM-port

was implemented that provides access to such

solutions as Emerson AMS® or the HCF server.

Offline mode
While the network is in offline mode and due to the short circuit measurement it is possible to review if there are incorrect connections between the lines or between the line and screen. Interrupts, short circuits as well as missing or incorrect bus terminators of the bus line can be easily checked and localized with the reflection measurement.

Online mode
Without interrupting the network the Bustester shows the bus supply voltage, a list of all bus-connected slaves and their addresses and accordant transmission levels. The jitter measurement shows the temporal variance of the data signal. The level measurement tests the correct impedance of the bus terminator.

The Device Type Manager isPro CommDTM provides access to the Profibus devices of the is Pro product range (
USB and PCI). It implements a so called CommDTM (Communication DTM). Within the FDT architecture, the component enables DeviceDTMs to connect to their respective devices via Profibus DP/V1.

isHRT CommDTM
The Device Type Manager isHRT CommDTM is compatible to all FDT 1.2.1 compliant frame applications (Pactware, Fieldcare etc.). It requires the
isHRT USB communication interface as its hardware base. The CommDTM takes care of the management and configuration of the communication interface. It replaces the vendor specific configuration software with a standard FDT approach.

The device type manager isFF CommDTM facilitates the communication between the field devices at the Foundation Fieldbus network (protocol H1) and their DTMs. It therefore supports the commissioning of the field devices from one central workstation. The configuration tool is compatible to all FDT 1.2.1 compliant frame applications (Pactware, Fieldcare etc.). The CommunicationDTM requires the PCMCIA or PCI communication interface from National Instruments

The software isEDDview DTM is able to interpret EDD files for PROFIBUS or HART devices and to integrate these devices in any FDT Frame Application. The DTM provides dialogs for Offline and Online Parameterization and for Profibus-Bus Configuration.

The Gateway-DTM isDP/PA Link DTM allows the integration of a Siemens Profibus DP/ PA Link device into any FDT Engineering and Configuration Tool (PACTware, FieldCare or other FDT Containers). So the engineering and commissioning task for a remote Profibus PA device can be handled from one central workplace.

The SIMOCODE Pro DTM supports the devices SIMOCODE Pro C and SIMOCODE Pro V manufactured by Siemens.
The DTM may be used for integration of the SIMOCODE Pro devices into standalone configuration tools as well as for integration into FDT based engineering systems. SIMOCODE devices are accessed by using the communication protocol Profibus DPV1.
